STRATA Networks’ commitment to provide financial assistance to local high school and non-traditional students pursuing higher education was evident with the recent bestowing of close to $50,000 in scholarships. As a local Cooperative, members and their dependents are eligible to apply for scholarships, with preference given to applicants wishing to pursue training in telecommunications or a business-related field that would help further the economic development and growth of the Uintah Basin.
STRATA would like to congratulate their 2021 scholarship recipients: Faith Rowley (Altamont High), Ethan Rowley (Duchesne High), Denim Lister (Uintah High), Hadlee Owens (Uintah High), Alesha Carter (Uintah High), Alix Williams (Uintah High), Krista Maylett (Union High), Scott Miller (Union High), Katie Anne Richards (Union High), Janae Jenkins (Tabiona High) and Dylan Hawkins (Union High) who was the recipient of the Richard Adams High School Senior Renewable Scholarship. STRATA also awarded four Charles Crozier Memorial Scholarships to the following non-traditional students: Vanessa Liesik, Leo Thorsen, Faith Spencer, and Amanda Mathews.
“These scholarship recipients were selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants,” stated CEO/General Manager Bruce H. Todd. “We are grateful for the opportunity to help residents in our community pursue their dreams and educational goals. We congratulate this year’s recipients and look forward to seeing what they are able to accomplish with the education they will receive through this scholarship program.”
